For over 25 years, Sara Janjigian Trifiro has focused on serving the nonprofit sector by developing programs and operational strategies that help build brands and move missions forward. As a marketing strategist, she works with organizations to help grow their reach, strengthen their message, and convert new passionate donors. With her operational hat on, she has also helped several organizations identify and transition to systems such as CRMs, websites, and marketing communications tools that better serve the organization's needs.
Sara also has deep event and donor management experience that started during her Americorp service years at City Year. Her board experience includes the Armenian International Women’s Association, Great Bay Services, and as an audit committee member for the Armenian Women’s Welfare Association.
Her corporate experience also has deep nonprofit connections. For many years she directed the marketing efforts for the $90M National Not-for-Profit and Higher Education Practice at Grant Thornton LLP and the growth efforts at Changing Our World and Johnson Global Accountancy.
Passionately dedicated to women’s leadership, Sara was a founding member of the New England Women@Grant Thornton Initiative and Co-Chair of the Small Business Association of New England’s Women’s Business Network where she helped to strengthen the network of women. She received a BFA in photography from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from Simmons School of Management.
