Isatou Bittaye-Jobe is a strategist and grant writer dedicated to supporting nonprofits focused on gender justice and women’s rights, human rights, and social change advocacy.
With expertise in foundation grants and state and federal grants—including the Department of Justice’s VAWA and VOCA grants—Isatou brings over 15 years of nonprofit experience and has secured more than $10 million in grant awards from private foundations, multilateral donors, and government agencies to advance social justice movements in the U.S. and internationally. She approaches her work from an intersectional perspective, drawing on her deep expertise across fundraising, program management, community organizing, and advocacy within the social justice and international development sectors in Africa and the U.S.
In addition to being the Wright Collective's Grant Consultant, Isatou is the founder and principal Consultant of AmiKha Consulting, where she provides U.S.-based and Global South nonprofits with grant research, funding strategy development, grant writing, and grant readiness services.Prior to this, she was the Director of Institutional Giving at UltraViolet, where she spearheaded the organization’s institutional funding strategy and played a key role in raising its $5 million annual budget.
Originally from The Gambia, Isatou began her career in human rights advocacy. She is a 2016 Women Deliver Young Leader Alumni, recognized globally for her work in advancing gender equality, and holds dual M.A. degrees in Women’s and Gender Studies and International Studies from the CUNY Graduate Center and National Chengchi University in Taiwan.
